This is a simple rainy day project which is fun to make also.
Things you'll need:
1. A photograph (with clear face view for portrait)
2. Different colored paper
3. Pencil, glue, scissors, x-acto knife (optional)
4. Heavy cardstock paper for backing
5. Crayons(optional)
6. Acrylic paints (optional)

Step 3: This step is optional but it helps to decide the colors for the portrait. Take your crayon and fill them in each of the form.

Step 5: Now take the tracing that you created in step 2/3 and cut each shape and trace and cut them from colored paper you have selected. Keep in mind that if some shapes overlap each other in that case cut the larger piece and attach the smaller piece on top of that e.g. for eye instead of cutting upper lid , white part and lower lid separate and attaching, cut white piece larger and attach both the lids to it and then attach this to the face. This will create depth in the portrait.
Repeat this step for all the separate shapes that you have traced in step 2 and glue them to the heavy card stock paper.
